We Need Your Help for Muscular Dystrophy!

Less than a month ago, I received a phone call from the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).  Someone (who was too chicken to name themselves) nominated me to be involved in the “Bremerton’s Most Wanted” Lock-up to benefit the MDA.  The only information they gave was that the one who nominated me said that I have a “big heart”.  Unfortunately, the lock-up date is June 20th and I will be out of town.  However, while I could not make the date (and would have if I was in town), I got the opportunity to pass the nomination along and I IMMEDIATELY thought of Rich Seibert.  As the former President of the West Sound Triathlon Club, and volunteer master’s swim coach, YMCA spin instructor, and full time DOD/DON employee, Rich embodies the term “big heart”.  He is always there for people and is such a giver.  I knew he would take on this great cause and he has.

Now, it is our job to raise the money that Rich needs to succeed.  Here is a message directly from Rich:

Caution: Heavily Armed With Kindness … Highly Contagious.

I’M GOING BEHIND BARS FOR GOOD!

A warrant has been issued for my arrest! As one of Bremerton’s “Most Wanted,” I’m going to be “Locked Up” to benefit the South Sound Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). With your help, they may let me out on good behavior. My bail has been set at $2,400, which sends 3 kids with neuromuscular disease to MDA Summer Camp. Did you know that MDA covers 43 different neuromuscular diseases? By making a donation for my bail (or making a donation to keep me behind bars), you will be helping MDA provide services to those with muscular dystrophy in our community—and continue vital research for treatment and a possible cure. If you want to make a positive difference in a kids life through this program, please donate today, I have just 14 days left to post bail! Donate to my bail online at: http://www2.mda.org/goto/richseibert Thank you for your support! The BEST to you, Rich

I’ve been a ‘victim’ of Rich’s kindness a few times! We donated to keep him out of jail and infecting others. 🙂
